This announcement should open the eyes of any Catholic who professes to belong to Jesus Christ as to who the real spirit is behind the apparitions of Mary that have occurred at Fatima and throughout the world. Here you have the coming together of a religion that worships demons with one that worships idols. The Apostle Paul warned that ..."Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light" (2 Corinthians 11:14.) This deceiver has orchestrated the deception of Fatima and his worshippers have recognized his handiwork. This article by A.W.Tozer found on the Five Doves website titled The Great God Entertainment is a revealing commentary on the Church's present fascination with and devotion to the god of entertainment. Whereas before, "...the Church stood solidly against every form of worldly entertainment, recognizing it for what it was a device for wasting time, a refuge from the disturbing voice of conscience, a scheme to divert attention from moral accountability...," today those who claim to "know Jesus" do not even think twice about the effect that this worldly influence is having on their souls. "Christians" today regularly and unashamedly watch "R" rated movies and ungodly television programs revealing how absent the fear of God is from their lives, oblivious to the spiritual jeopardy they are placing themselves into. Why would anyone who deeply loves God allow themselves to be enamored with actors and actresses and their portrayed characters who neither love God nor have a concern for His kingdom, not even acknowledging His existence much less His rightful place as Lord of Life? Why would they give themselves to become engrossed in movies and shows that portray as acceptable the very sins that crucified the Lord of Glory? God's Word is clear. "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world." emphasis mine) 1 John 2:15-16.
- This article referred to on the Five Doves website highlights one of the reasons why institutionalized religious organizations that pretend to be God's Church are so ineffective, weak, and susceptible to error and false doctrine. God is calling the remnant of true believers in Jesus Christ to come out of these man-made religious corporations to be a part of the Church that He is raising up where He is the Head and His kingdom is being built. I highly recommend the four books by Frank Viola listed on the recommended resources link that present a wealth of information about how the Church is supposed to look and function as demonstrated in the New Testament. After you read these books, you will never think of "church" as being what you have experienced in organized religion again.
This report does much to expose as false the notion that the "Passion" is the God ordained, Holy Spirit inspired movie that people are saying it is. Many have been pointing to the incident of this man turning himself in to the police after seeing the movie and others like it to validate their claims. Even if true believers in Jesus Christ can get past the biblical inaccuracies, embellishment and false doctrine found in the movie to make a case for it's value based on the so-called "fruit" it is producing, this article exposes the true quality or lack thereof of that fruit. The truth of the matter is that repentance and conversion which is based on the manipulation of emotions tends to be spurious and temporary at best which is exactly what has happened in this case. When the Holy Spirit convicts sinners, He does so with the truth of God's Word. The fact that this movie is not based on truth but on the demonic and unscriptural visions of an 18th century mystic nun, makes it highly unlikely that any conviction experienced from it will lead to "repentance to salvation not to be repented of." What we're witnessing is more the result of globby sentimentalism produced by images and music designed to entertain and feed the flesh which will lead only to the "sorrow of the world" which "worketh death." 2 Corinthians 7:10.
Here is a good article describing and revealing the current state of the so-called "church" in America which isn't really the Church at all, but only pretending to be. According to Jesus, the gates of hell will never prevail against the true Church (Matthew16:18). The fact that hell has prevailed against the institutional religious organizations masquerading as the church only reveals that she isn't what she claims to be. "Come out from among her and be ye separate!" 2 Corinthians 6:16-18.
